Holiday Shopping For Your Dog

Stuffed Dog Toys

It’s that time of year again! Time to go Christmas shopping for your puppies. As with children, your pets understand the holidays have arrived. They observe the commotion in the house. The get a whiff of all the amazing smells of the holiday food cooking, and they discover there is something intriguing underneath the tree. On Christmas Day, they see that the other children in the family are ripping objects open to find toys and treats, and if there isn’t something for them, they don’t understand why they are being ignored.

Do not overlook your four legged family members this year. Aren’t sure what to get your dog for Christmas? Here are some ideas your dog is sure to love!

Stuffed Dog Toys – As far as your dog is concerned, there is nothing like a good toy to shake around and beat up. This is probably why there are many stuffed dog toys available today. The Skinneez brand is one of my favorite “stuffed dog toys” because they come without stuffing. Our dogs love them and I don’t have to worry about my dogs eating the stuffing or me picking it up from the floor any more.   If you are looking for a holiday theme stuffed dog toys, you can find a large variety of toys shaped like Santa, Reindeers or other Christmas items.

Tug Toys – There are several of these toys on the market. Some parts of the toys are made of durable rubber; some parts are rope. Each of these parts are enjoyable for your pooch. You can toss the toy and play fetch with your dog or you can play a game of tug of war.

Do not forget the pet treats! Dogs like pet treats just like kids enjoy candy! From Nylabones to healthy dog treats, biscuits to training treats, the options are endless. You can even buy stockings full of pet treats made especially for your dog. You will have to be careful though, as with kids, our dogs will overindulge on pet treats if allowed. Make sure to supervise them with any chew toys you buy.

Happy Shopping!
